Did You Know?

Metro Nashville understands how important it is to help you save for your retirement, because your future is worth it. The Metro Nashville 457(b) Deferred Compensation Program (MetroMax) now includes a Roth option for the Plan. Roth after-tax contributions give you more control over when your contributions, and retirement income, will be subject to federal income tax.

Unlike pre-tax contributions, Roth contributions are made on an after-tax basis. This means your Roth contributions are taxed before they’re invested in your account. Do Roth contributions make sense for you? It primarily depends on what you think your federal income tax rate will be in retirement. Read the MetroMax Roth Option Overview Guide to learn more.

Whether you are considering enrolling in MetroMax or are already contributing to the Plan, there are many resources for you to make informed decisions on investing in your future.
